WirelessHART

WirelessHART is an industrial wireless communication network and communication profile specified in IEC 62591:2016. The standard defines physical-layer, data-link-layer and application-layer services and protocols, network management, security, communication profile and gateway procedures. It is specified as Communication Profile CP 9/2 (CPF 9) in addition to IEC 61158 Type 20 and IEC 61784-1.

IEC 62591:2016 defines a wireless communication network and Communication Profile CP 9/2 (CPF 9).
The standard specifies physical-layer, data-link-layer and application-layer service definitions and protocols.
It also specifies network management, security, communication profile, wireless procedures and gateway functions.
It is an addition to IEC 61158 Type 20 and IEC 61784-1.
Edition 2.0 was published 2016-03-30; the March 2021 corrigendum is included in this copy.
Changes include performance statistics using key performance indicators (KPI) and stale-data detection services.
Changes also include gateway commands, a Quarantined State and extended CCA modes.
Clarifications cover whitelist and blacklist management, join behavior, join links, table management and defaults.
Annex M lists country-specific clauses on differing practices of a less permanent nature.
