MELSEC Communication Protocol (MC protocol) is a Mitsubishi Electric communication protocol used by external devices to access MELSEC programmable controllers through serial communication modules (C24) or Ethernet interface modules (E71). An external device sends request messages and receives response messages to read or write device memory, files, and buffer memory, and to perform remote control and monitoring. The protocol supports multiple frame formats and either ASCII or binary code.
