Yokoten

Yokoten is a Japanese term for deploying concepts, ideas, or policies horizontally across a company. It is used to make sure that a finding at one location is checked and applied at all other relevant locations. The document illustrates it with a defective valve found on one machine: yokoten is the process of examining all similar valves in the facility and in other relevant facilities for the same defect.
