Yaskawa Motoman HC10DTP

The HC10DTP is a six-axis collaborative robot with a 10 kg payload, 1200 mm horizontal reach and 2400 mm vertical reach. It supports hand-guided programming and uses Power and Force Limiting to monitor contact force, so it can work in close proximity to people. Thru-arm utilities route air, Ethernet and I/O cabling internally, and the arm carries an IP67 rating for harsh environments.

Study notes

  • Compatible controllers: YRC1000 and YRC1000micro; no matching controller entries exist in the reference list.
  • Programming options: Smart Pendant or standard teach pendant.
  • Thru-arm utilities carry air, Ethernet (including a Category 6 cable) and I/O.
  • I/O connector uses the M8 A-coded standard.
  • ISO standard tool flange with an additional dowel hole so the tool can be rotated.
  • Uses NSF H1 food-grade grease for areas with possible incidental food contact.
  • Available as the HC10 Workstation, combining the robot and YRC1000 controller in a portable package.
  • Applications listed: assembly, machine tending, material handling, pick and pack.

Safety

  • Power and Force Limiting (PFL) technology monitors force and reacts to contact; pinch-less design.
  • In collaborative mode the robot can operate at up to 1000 mm/s without extra safety features, depending on risk assessment.
  • A risk assessment is required to ensure the robot, application and humans interact safely.
  • Non-collaborative mode operation at up to 2000 mm/s requires the robot to be properly equipped.
