Makino D300

The Makino D300 is a vertical five-axis machining centre with X, Y and Z linear travels of 300 mm, 500 mm and 350 mm and a 300 mm diameter rotary table carried on direct-drive A and C axes. It uses a 15,000 rpm, 30 hp CAT40 spindle and a 60-position automatic tool changer, with 60,000 mm/min rapid traverse and cutting feedrate. Core-cooled ballscrews and temperature-controlled direct-drive motors and spindle are used to hold thermal stability during sustained five-axis machining.
