DMG MORI CMX 1100 V

The CMX 1100 V is a DMG MORI vertical machining centre built on a rigid C-frame with a table that moves in the X axis. It has X, Y and Z strokes of 1,100 mm, 560 mm and 510 mm and accepts workpieces up to 1,000 kg. It is offered with SIEMENS, HEIDENHAIN or FANUC controls and with an inlineMASTER motor spindle running up to 15,000 min-1.

Study notes

  • Frame concept is a rigid C-frame with the table moving in X; Y-axis concept is described as rigid over the whole travel range.
  • Direct measuring system is fitted in all axes as standard; positioning accuracy in all axes is stated as 6 µm according to ISO 230-2.
  • Thermal compensation is included to stabilise the production process.
  • Ball screws are made to first class of tolerances (IT 1).
  • Spindle is the inlineMASTER rated 15,000 min-1, 20 kW and 121 Nm at 40 % duty cycle (ED).
  • Tool holder interface is stated as BIG PLUS.
  • Control options: 19" DMG MORI SLIMline multi-touch panel with SIEMENS or HEIDENHAIN, or 15" SLIMline panel with MAPPS on FANUC for 3D simulation and contour verification.
  • IoTconnector is preinstalled and configured before delivery, with DMG MORI NETservice and MESSENGER.
  • Workpiece capacity: length 1,400 mm, width 560 mm, height 630 mm, weight 1,000 kg.
  • Machine height clearance for workpieces is given as 630 mm maximum workpiece height.

Safety

  • IoTconnector includes an integrated firewall with automatic updates.
