The Comau N-220-2.7 is a six-axis industrial robot with a 220 kg maximum wrist payload and a 2670 mm maximum horizontal reach. It is mounted on the floor and is intended for spot welding, material handling, assembly, machine tending and continuous processes such as 3D printing and gluing. Motion control uses Comau e-Motion 3.0 algorithms, and the robot is stated as IoT ready, MES compliant and OPC UA capable.
Additional load permitted on the forearm is 50 kg, separate from the 220 kg maximum wrist payload.
Torque ratings are 1270 Nm on axis 4, 1270 Nm on axis 5 and 780 Nm on axis 6.
Robot is supplied in a basic dressing with multibus cable and air hose routed up to axis 3; an optional easy dressing with corrugated hose inside the hollow forearm reaches axis 5.
A nitrogen balancing system on axis 2, with larger axis 3 stroke-ends, provides a wide backward working area used for bending and agile handling.
Mounting position is floor; operating area type is Type 1.
Working area dimensions: A 3076.4 mm, B 2670.5 mm, C 1850.0 mm, D 1552.2 mm, E 222.7 mm, F not applicable.
The stated controller is the Comau C5G Plus Rel.3 (not in the reference list): 800x1110x510 mm, 125 kg, working temperature 5 to 45 °C (5 to 55 °C with cooler), humidity 5% to 95% without condensation, extended line power range 400 to 500 V.
Features stated include direct assembly between motor and gearbox, visual recalibration for turn-set recovery, multiarm programs, and improved MTBF with lower MTTR.
