# LinuxCNC G95

Instructions · `G95` · verification: source checked

G95 is the units-per-revolution feed rate mode in LinuxCNC. In this mode an F word sets the controlled point movement per spindle revolution, using the active length units. A new feed rate must be specified after switching to this mode.

## Study notes

- G95 is not suitable for threading; the document directs threading to G33 or G76.
- G95 requires that spindle.N.speed-in be connected.
- The actual spindle to which the feed is synchronised is chosen by the $ parameter.
- A new feed rate must be specified after switching to G94 or G95.
