# LinuxCNC G92.1

Instructions · `G92.1` · verification: source checked

G92.1 is a LinuxCNC G-code that turns off any active G92 coordinate system offsets and clears the stored offset parameters 5211 through 5219 to zero. It is used to erase offsets left over from a previous program so they are not reused. It affects only G92 offsets, not the G53-G59.3 coordinate system offsets.

## Study notes

- G92.1 turns off G92 offsets and resets parameters 5211-5219 to zero.
- G92.1 only clears G92 offsets; to change G53-G59.3 coordinate system offsets in G-code use G10 L2 or G10 L20.
- LinuxCNC stores G92 offsets and reuses them on the next run of a program; G92.1 erases them, while G92.2 removes them but keeps parameters 5211-5219 available.
- G92.3 sets the G92 offset back to the values saved in parameters 5211 to 5219.
