# LinuxCNC G87

G87 is the back boring canned cycle in the LinuxCNC G-code set, listed in the G80-G89 canned cycle group. In this implementation the code is unimplemented: LinuxCNC accepts G87 but does not define what it does, so its behaviour is undefined.

## Study notes

- The G-code quick reference table lists G87 as "Back-boring Cycle (not yet implemented)".
- G87 is grouped with the other canned cycles G81 through G89 and the cancel code G80.
- G88 (Boring Cycle, Spindle Stop, Manual Out) is likewise accepted but unimplemented in LinuxCNC.
