# LinuxCNC G10 L20 Set Coordinate System

Instructions · `G10 L20` · verification: source checked

G10 L20 sets a coordinate system offset to a calculated value so that the current axis coordinates become the programmed values. It uses a P word to choose a coordinate system from 0 to 9 and axis words for the coordinates to set. The document gives G10 L20 P1 X1.5 as an example.

## Specification

| Property | Value |
|---|---|
| Language | gcode |
| Code | G10 L20 |
| Group | coordinate system |
| Syntax | G10 L20 P- axes |
| Dialect | LinuxCNC |

### Parameters

| Name | Data type | Description |
|---|---|---|
| P | integer | Coordinate system (0-9) |
| axes | | Axis words for the coordinate values to set |

## Study notes

- G10 L20 is similar to G10 L2, but the offset is calculated to make the current coordinates become the given value rather than setting the offset directly.
- P must evaluate to an integer in the range 0 to 9.
- An axis programmed that is not defined in the configuration is an error.
- Example: G10 L20 P1 X1.5 sets the X axis current location in coordinate system 1 to 1.5.
