# Makino UPN-01

The Makino UPN-01 is a wire EDM machine built for small and fine wire work, using an oil dielectric system and a horizontal wire drive layout. Motion is produced by linear motors on pneumatic static pressure guideways, with scale feedback of 0.01 µm and a minimum programmable increment of 0.1 µm. It has X, Y and Z travels of 160 mm, 160 mm and 50 mm, plus U and V axes of ±7 mm and an integrated rotary C-axis.
