The HERMLE C 250 GEN2 is a 5-axis vertical machining centre in the HERMLE Performance Line, built for milling workpieces up to Ø 450 mm and 355 mm high. Linear travels are 600 x 550 x 450 mm in X, Y and Z with 35 m/min rapid traverse, and the machine can be equipped with a swivelling rotary table (A axis ±115°, C axis) or a rigid 800 x 616 mm clamping table. It uses a pick-up tool changer with a 30-pocket magazine and spindles up to 20,000 rpm, controlled by a Heidenhain TNC7.

- Spindle options: 15,000 rpm with SK 40 and 20 kW / 173 Nm at 20% c.d.f.; 16,000 rpm with HSK A 63 and 20 kW / 173 Nm; 20,000 rpm with HSK A 63 and 42 kW / 148 Nm.
- Tool changer is a pick-up type with 30 magazine pockets and approx. 6 s chip-to-chip time; maximum tool length 300 mm, maximum tool weight 8 kg, maximum magazine load 120 kg.
- Tool diameter in the magazine is Ø 80 mm, or Ø 125 mm with corresponding adjacent pocket allocation.
- Optional additional magazines: ZM 30 (+30 pockets), ZM 50 (+50), ZM 88 k (+88), ZM 216 (+216, HSK A 63 only).
- Control unit is a Heidenhain TNC7.
- Positional uncertainty in X-Y-Z axes per ISO 230-2 is ≤ 0.006 mm, calculated at a constant ambient temperature of 20 °C ±1 °C.
