The ULTRASONIC 80 eVo linear is a universal machining centre from DMG MORI that combines 5-axis milling and mill-turn operation with ultrasonic superimposition of the tool rotation. Its linear X/Y/Z axes travel 800 mm, 650 mm and 550 mm and it accepts workpieces up to 800 mm diameter, 600 mm height and 600 kg. A swivel rotary table with a B-axis range of -5/+110° provides simultaneous 5-axis machining.

## Study notes

- ULTRASONIC superimposition is applied to the tool rotation through an HSK-A63 / HSK-A100 interface with amplitudes up to 15 µm.
- With ULTRASONIC enabled, process forces are reduced by up to 50%, with surface quality up to Ra < 0.1 µm and longer tool life.
- Standard spindle is speedMASTER 20,000 rpm; options are speedMASTER 15,000 rpm with 200 Nm and a motor spindle at 24,000 rpm.
