The FZ 08 is a single-spindle vertical machining centre of the CHIRON 08 Series, built on a moving-column principle with a steel/mineral-cast bed. It machines workpieces up to 450 x 270 x 310 mm in X, Y and Z with a water-cooled motor spindle running up to 40,000 rpm. Tools are held in a chain magazine and changed in 2.3 s chip-to-chip.
