The Brother W1000Xd2 is a vertical CNC machining center with a 30-taper spindle and travels of 1,000 mm on X, 500 mm on Y and 380 mm on Z. It runs the Brother CNC-D00 control and a 14/21/28-position tool magazine, with a standard spindle speed range of 1 to 12,000 min-1. A five-axis variant, the W1000Xd2-5AX, uses the CNC-D00v (DB) control and adds tool center point control for simultaneous five-axis machining.

## Safety

- Max table loading capacity is 300 kg as standard; 500 kg requires a parameter change (table travel time is changed).
- Max tool weight 4.0 kg requires a parameter change, which also changes tool indexing time.
- Regular air pressure required: 0.4 to 0.6 MPa (recommended value 0.5 MPa); required flow 45 L/min. Set the pressure higher than the recommended value depending on machine specifications, machining program details, or peripheral equipment.
- The machine may need to be equipped with a relocation detection device depending on the destination; those machines carry "RD" at the end of the model name.
- Maximum tool length, diameter and weight are limited depending on spindle speed in use, configuration and center of gravity.
- Only the W1000Xd2-5AX supports tool center point control, which is subject to restrictions on the axis configuration.
