The GS4-2015 is a DURApulse GS4 series AC variable frequency drive sold by AutomationDirect. It accepts 230 VAC input and provides a 3-phase PWM output for controlling 3-phase induction motors using SVC or V/Hz mode. It includes an RS-485 port, integrated dynamic braking, and built-in Safe Torque Off (STO).

## Study notes

- Input ratings: 15 hp with 3-phase input and 5 hp with 1-phase input. Current ratings: 47 A with 3-phase input and 17 A with 1-phase input; variable torque rating is 49 A.
- Control mode is SVC or V/Hz. Output frequency range is 0.1–599 Hz; carrier frequency range is 2–15 kHz.
- Native RS-485 (RJ12) protocols are Modbus RTU, Modbus ASCII, and BACnet; port speed is up to 115.2k baud. BACnet has no matching protocol id in this schema.
- Optional EtherNet/IP and Modbus TCP cards are available; these are not native ports.
- Three analog input channels accept 0–20 mA, 4–20 mA, or ±10 VDC with 11-bit resolution.
- Two analog output channels provide 0–20 mA, 4–20 mA, or 0–10 VDC with 10-bit resolution.
- Eight discrete inputs are rated 24 VDC and are sinking/sourcing. Four discrete outputs are relay/sinking/sourcing, including two Form C (SPDT) relays.
- Discrete output nominal voltage is 240 VAC and 48 VDC. Relay load current is 3 A/point; discrete load current is 50 mA/point.
- Integrated dynamic braking and built-in reverse capability. Programming language is ladder.
